The bamboo flute is our most popular instrument because of it's similarity in playing style to the western silver flute. The bamboo flute is a six holed instrument played held off to the side where the player blows over a tone whole. These flutes have a two to three octave range and are offered in diatonic major scales. |

The smaller panpipes are pentatonic and lend themselves to spontaneous improvisation in much the same way as the native american "flute". Spirit Song Flutes panpipes are made from the finest "tea stick" bamboo from South Central China. They are bound with industrial beeswax impregnated nylon cord. The panpipes are capable of very quiet subtle sounds to one of the loudest wind blown instruments, rivaling the bagpipes. |

Spirit Song Flutes' panpipes are a hybrid instrument borrowing the best features of the Romanian, Greek, and South American pipes. The tuning of the pipes offered reflect the tonal purity of a bygone age. Larger pipes are modal, or diatonic, scale and have a two octave range, these have a whole tone scale, meaning no flats or sharps. |

The Native American flute is a one octave instrument in the pentatonic scale. This is one of the easier instruments to play because the mouth piece is very similar to the recorder and sound is created by blowing into the hole at the top of the flute. |

| The bamboo Saxophone or Shawm is a single reeded instrument with a single octave diatonic scale with an extra note that lends itself to playing a "blues" style sound. This has a very middle eastern sound almost Klezme- like and is wonderful for playing middle eastern, "belly dance", type music. |
