Bamboo Didgeridoo

didgeridoo

The traditional Didgeridoo is made from eucalyptus that has been hollowed out by termites. Today Didergidoos are made from other woods such as bamboo and even PVC plastic pipe. At Spirit Song Flutes we offer large and small bore didgeridoos made of timber bamboo with easy to play with beeswax mouth pieces. This is a light weight alternative to the traditional eucalyptus Australian didgeridoo Playing the didgeridoo is done by buzzing your lips, similar to playing a brass instrument such as a trombone. The Didgeridoo is available in the key of high A, G, regular F, E, Eb, D, C#, C, Bb and A. Length varies depending of the key. Higher instruments are easier to play and shorter: (A, G, F, and E). Preferred by the seasoned didgeridoo player are the mid-range keys of Eb, D, and C. . The keys of Bb and A are difficult to play but have a wonderful deep resonating sound. Lower instruments are available upon request in specific keys.
